Hi Friends!!
My name is Uwakmfon Udeh. “Uwakmfon” in the Ibibio language literally means abundant grace and that has been the testimony of my life. You might wonder why i picked a random picture of journals to depict my journey but these books are one of my most prized possessions. They contain all the highs and lows of the past 5 years of walking more closely with Jesus.
It’s been almost 6 years since i went home after one faithful bible study and told God that I was ready to stop existing and start living. Before this time in 2015, the idea of purpose was foreign to me, talk-less of desiring to be aligned with God’s will.
The crazy thing is that anyone who knew me could have considered me a “good” person even in the years prior, I did my best to do right by others. The world could say oh that’s good enough but not with Christ. He showed me His mercy by saving me from a false sense of righteousness. Dear Friends, Jesus is the only way, truth and life. By no other means can any man be pleasing to God, yes not even the best of us.
I still remember that faithful day in May , 2015. After i got prayed for by our church pastor, i went home and told God that if He would promise to not let me go, that I would walk with Him for the rest of my life.
I wish i could tell you all that it has been the smoothest journey, I would be a liar but the truth is that it has been the most rewarding and exciting journey to literally see God transform my life and choose to partner with me for His Kingdom. Mark Twain said there are 2 most important days in a man’s life: the day you’re born and the day you find out why.
